History of the Club

A bit of history

Gentofte Hockey Klub was founded the 5th of june 1944. The clubs has over time won several championships, especially in the youth department. One of the clubs greatest victories, was when the ladies won The Danish Championship three years in a row from 2008-2010. In that period the womens team also compeeted in the Champion Challenge Cup III three times. The last time was in Slovenia in 2011, where the team ended on a 3rd place.

In 2012 Gentofte Hockey Klub opned their new clubhouse, which Gentofte Kommune has provided. And at the same time the club opned their new blue astro turf pich, right next to the clubhouse. This is a very big thing for the club, and hopefully both the pitch and the clubhouse will be the suroundings of lots of great times for the memebers throughout the years.
