Welcome to Gentofte Hockey Klub
The Club Gentofte Hockey Klub is situated in the north of Copenhagen and has about 90 active members. The club offers exciting and challenging hockey for people in all ages including men’s-, women’s-, junior’s- and veteran’s teams. Currently the club has teams in 1st and 2nd division. The teams consist of Danish as well as international players from all around the world including Australia, Finland, Ireland, Germany and England. So if you are studying, working or just visiting Denmark for a longer period you are more than welcome to come and join the club. We are always looking for new memebers and do our best to make you feel welcome.
A bit of history
Gentofte Hockey Klub was founded the 5th of june 1944. The clubs has over time won several championships, especially in the youth department. One of the clubs greatest victories, was when the ladies won The Danish Championship three years in a row from 2008-2010. In that period the womens team also compeeted in the Champion Challenge Cup III three times. The last time was in Slovenia in 2011, where the team ended on a 3rd place.
In 2012 Gentofte Hockey Klub opned their new clubhouse, which Gentofte Kommune has provided. And at the same time the club opned their new blue astro turf pich, right next to the clubhouse. This is a very big thing for the club, and hopefully both the pitch and the clubhouse will be the suroundings of lots of great times for the memebers throughout the years.
Events Every year Gentofte Hockey Klub travels abroad to compete in various hockey festivals and tournaments. The main aim of these kinds of events is to play some good hockey and at the same time have some fun. Holland, Belgium, Germany and Sweden are some of the countries the club has visited within the last couple of years.
In 2014 Gentofte Hockey Klub turns 70 years – this calls for celebration. Already now the club is beginning to plan how to celebrate this milestone.

How to get there? In the outdoor season (from April to October) Gentofte Hockey Klub’s Astroturf pitch is located at Gentofte Stadion:
Ved Stadion 16A, 2820 Gentofte (the blue astroturf pitch)
, a mere 5 minutes walk from JÆGERBORG STATION. To get to JÆGERSBORG STATION you only need a 10 minutes ride by train (lines B, B+) from Copenhagen Central Station.
