The last league games of the season
Last Thursday the men’s played their last game of the season, when they played the neighbors from Lyngby. With 14 players in the squad it was time for redemption the loss earlier in May. But it was not going that way.
The team played very well on periods, and quite bad in other. Lyngby came in front the 4-1 with 12 min before the end, before Gentofte fought back to 4-3. But there was not enough time on the clock the get the equalizer. Man of the match was Ash with scoring his first two goals for the club.
The men’s ends up as second in the first division after some stupid defeats in the spring.
The women’s travelled Saturday to Slagelse to play the last game of the season against Odin. The first two against Odin ended up with a win and a draw. But on Saturday there were no chance. The ladies lost 7-0 in and uninspired game, where the things did not work on the day.
The ladies can look back on a season where they have banked more points on the table compared to the last four seasons. This is good. Next step is be consistent over the hole season and have a squad for all the games.
Though the leagues is done the men’s and women still have a couple of games before the summer break. On Wednesday the men’s play the master’s national team in Gentofte and On the 30th of June a mixed team of men’s and women’s will Pan.
On Sunday after U6 practice the U10 had tournament day on the pitch. Since only Sørby Magle could show up, the U8 team went in as a third team on the day. It was a good little tournament with big smiles lots of running. Thanks to Sørby Magle for coming up and thanks to the parents for making multiple cakes.
Practice for the kids will keep in going until the 28rd of June.
Here we go!
